Cake n’ Bake is a lovely cake shop in Hermosa with exquisite cakes ( offering cake cups + 6in cake sizes ) and offers plenty of seating in order to enjoy a cup of cake right then and there (which you should!). The store itself is immaculate and the staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Victoria was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful, assisting me in choosing a Tiramisu cup as well as a Choco-Nutella cup. The cakes themselves are light and fluffy and made with only the best ingredients. The tiramisu in particular was so light and perfectly balanced notes of espresso with almost a custard like cream that could almost be too rich if not tempered by the layer of cocoa powder on top. Utter perfection. Highly recommend stopping in for a cup of coffee and a cake cup of your choosing! ~ Phil C

I'm only reviewing one item because it's the only thing I've tried so far, but it was impressive enough to deserve a mention. I ordered the spinach cake out of curiosity and wasn't quite sure what to expect. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The cake was soft, moist, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, but full of flavor. There was a subtle citrus note that worked really well with the fresh fruit served alongside it, making the dessert feel light and refreshing rather than heavy. The real standout, though, was the cream. It tied everything together beautifully and elevated the entire dessert. Every bite seemed to get better than the last. Victoria provided one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. She answered all my questions with patience, gave great recommendations, and made the whole visit enjoyable. Absolute danger zone for anyone trying to eat clean. Every single thing looked unreal, but the Honey Cake stole the show — hands down the best thing there. Perfect balance, rich without being too heavy, and ridiculously fresh. The Chocolate Cake came in strong at a close second… deep flavor, smooth texture, and not overly sweet like most places. You can tell this bakery actually cares about quality instead of just making things look pretty for Instagram. Friendly people, clean spot, and the smell alone when you walk in should be illegal. Came in for the first time and left completely hooked. The honey cake is incredible: moist, perfectly layered, with a custard filling that’s rich but not too heavy. Easily one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time. The coffee was great too, which made it the perfect little stop. Ordered tea and coffee as well as the chocolate raspberry cake cup and spinach cake cup (which despite how bad it sounds it was delicious!) and the service was amazing. The front desk lady was very kind and helpful, apologizing for the wait even though it wasn't long at all. The drinks ended up great and it was a wonderful experience! Best honey cake I’ve had in a restaurant! Absolutely incredible! Not too sweet, balanced flavor, thin soft layers, just what the honey cake should be. Delicious and beautiful cakes. We got one to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday. And it was a hit! My only suggestion would be that they add cakes of multiple sizes. I could have gotten away with a cake about a third of the size, but since a large one was the only option, my coworkers got to enjoy the delicious cake as well! ~ Fadi m

The spinach lemon cake was delicious. Light and airy, not too sweet, and just the right amount of cream. The fruit was also fresh and flavorful. Perfect dessert to bring to a dinner party (their variety gift box of small cakes) or for a celebration. Service was also top notch! ~ Schuyler F
